Washington Science Teachers Association (WSTA)
WSTA is an organization dedicated to advocating and promoting quality science education at all levels of instruction. Since 1985, a staff member from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Science Education Programs Office has served on the Board of Directors of the WSTA. A Battelle financial award initiated the funding base for a statewide teacher award program that now provides substantial monetary awards to outstanding science teachers each year.
